Oh shit, I am not feeling very well. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Last week I used to make a lot of noise during the nights, but lately I awful and I have been quiet. My human friends are worried. They gave me a lot of food. Walnuts, sunflower seeds... I have lost my appetite tho.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yesterday I my pee had a little blood :(((</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Yeah, it doesn't sound good. Nick called a vet. The vet told him to '...take me back to the Pet Shop and ask for a refund!!!!". That' HORRIBLE!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick will not give up. He is sad that I got sick so fast. It's not even 10 days since I got here. Anyway, he did some google-fu and as a result, I am eating cooked rice now (something to help with something called excessive urination and loss of protein... I dunno), and my water has anti-bacterial drops. Acid drops taste funny, don't try them!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am sleepy. Going to sleep now. Hope I don't pee blood again tomorrow...</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Freddo, the unlucky hamster.</div>
Εγώhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18225221023801578700noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8561492400836728954.post-17641533209680274272012-10-27T08:01:00.000-07:002012-11-07T08:06:17.546-08:00New hamster on the blog.<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hey!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
New hamster here! Not related to Monty or Joshua, but I share the same human friend they had! Oh, and their old hamsterhouse. It's roomy!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lets get some facts straight first. My birthday for instance. I have no clue when I was born. I suppose I am two months old. So, lets assume I was born in August, ok. <b>August 27. </b>Mark your calenders. I want peanute presents that day.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am a male Syrian hamster, with cream fur. Just like Monty and Joshua. My fur is not fully developed yet, but I expect it to be long and health like my predecessor's fur. Just you wait. As for the male, I am 99% sure of that. It's rather difficult to discern the gender of young hamsters.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My human friend's name is Nick, and I think he is a little retarded!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He just brought me to his house and first thing he does is to light up the fireplace! Problem? You bet.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We almost died from the smoke! His chimney must be stupid like him. It was blowing all the smoke back in the house.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick, please, don't use the fireplace again, ok? </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I spent the first day cleaning up my house. Top floor was litter with little scraps of paper. I spent more than 8 days pushing those little pieces down the tube. When the tube got full of it, I realised that my water bottle was on the bottom floor. So I cleaned the tube again, drunk water, and blocked the tube one more time. It was good exercise I spent the rest of the day sleeping. During the night, I woke up and started running on my hamsterwheel. It made a lot of noise. Stupid Nick will have to oil it or something. Either that, or he won't be able to sleep next time.<br />
<br />
Anyway, here is me!<br />
<br />

She fought so hard this last month. Unfortunately Bella passed away yesterday. <br />
<br />
I am so sad and alone now. <br />

Joshua, a lonely hamster.Εγώhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/18225221023801578700noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8561492400836728954.post-61047220673350744212012-03-05T05:57:00.000-08:002012-10-22T14:41:02.475-07:00I need attention too!<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hello! This is Joshua writing again.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, yes, Bella is still taking medication, she is steadily getting better yada-yada-yada. Ok? Time to talk about ME and MY adventures now!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick has been neglecting me. He cleans my cage regularly, he feeds me everyday, and at night he leaves my cage-door open as he used to do. But that's all. No time for games with little Joshua. No sir. He is always checking on Bella, he gives her food, he gives her medicine. Bella this, and Bella that. Just Bella. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This made me mad! I am sure you understand! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So what I did was this. One night, when he left my cage empty, I run to the kitchen and hid in my hiding spot, inside a cupboard. I slept there thinking how fitting was my punishment. Whey Nick would wake up, he wouldn't find me in my cage. Because he knows that every time I return there to sleep, he wouldn't worry. And he would forget about Bella and think about me! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Of course I had forgotten that this was a 'known' hiding spot of mine, and he easily found me next morning, while I was sleeping. He casually woke me up and put me back into my cage.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This made me mad! I am sure you understand!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Time to find a new hiding place, I thought. And so, I spent the next few days searching for one. And boy, did I find the perfect hiding place. Under their bed! Ha! They would never suspect it. They are going to spent ALL their free time worrying and searching for me, and I am going to be under their bed! How ironic! You see, their bed is kind of weird. Under the mattress, is full of little drawers. In order to search beneath the bed, they have to remove the drawers first. It is rather inconvenient for them. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Once Nick opened my cage, I run out, and went into his computer room. This is where he keeps a bag of peanuts. I started stockpiling. I used to put three of those peanuts in my mouth (it hurts, but it's doable), and transported them under the bed, behind one of those drawers. When I run, the peanuts that were in my mouth did a funny noise, like someone rolling the dice, but Nick didn't notice. He was occupied with a silly game called Mass Effect or something. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Once I had a decent stockpile of peanuts and tissue paper, I closed my eyes, and waited. I was drunk with the sweet taste of revenge. And then I got a bit hungry. Well, the peanuts were there so I started eating. The noise of opening the peanuts was greater than I thought, and Nick started to investigate the origin of the noise. DAMN! It wasn't long before he removed the drawer and found me. I remained hidden just in case he missed me, but no... he was relentless in his search! He found me, put me back in my cage, and confiscated my stockpile! He even took pictures so he can laugh at me with his friends.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Ah, crap. He is still there. What..? He took a picture as well???</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This made me mad! I am sure you understand.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I wanted to get even. I wanted to get even more than anything. I HAD to get even. I thought about eating. I would eat EVERYTHING. This would drive Nick broke, or so I thought. However, it hurt me more than it hurt them, because I did more poop than usual and my cage started to smell. Also I started getting fat. No, this wasn't the solution. I kept thinking of a plan. I didn't forget about the injustice that had been done to me. Not for a minute. I found out that I think better when I run on my wheel. In the night. When Nick sleeps. Plus, this makes noise, and since he keeps my cage in his bedroom. it HAS to irritate him. So I spent all night running... thinking!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But I couldn't think of a good revenge-plan. And then, it happened. Nick, while sleeping, dropped his pillow next to my cage. Very near. I could almost touch it. This was my moment. This was the moment of truth. Justice would be server and my ill-treatment would be avenged. So next morning, they found this.<br />

<br />
Today, I won an award. From two people! It's an award for my blog. I didn't know people were reading my stories. Turns out they do! And they also nominated me!<br />
<br />
I don't know how this 'award' works, but I will have to follow the guidelines just because it sounds fun. So here we go!<br />
<br />
<h3 class="post-title entry-title">
The Versatile Blogger Award
</h3>
<div class="post-header">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I got this award from <a href="http://fluffytoughie.blogspot.com/2012/03/versatile-blogger-award.html">Squeeze</a> and <a href="http://onionszoo.blogspot.com/2012/03/versatile-blogger-award.html">Onion</a>, who nominated me in their blogs. Thank you!</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">

<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
I wish my mom, Maza, and my dad Monty, were here to see this. It was my dad, Monty that started this blog. He would be so proud. I am sure that he will read this from the net-cafe that he frequents in Rainbow Bridge! I can't wait for Bella to get well so I can tell her the good news. She is going to be so happy! </div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Hm, I guess I got to thank the humans too. It's their internet I am using after all, so thank you Nick and Ira.</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<br /></div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
Ok, so the rules of this award are as follows:</div>
<ul style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<li><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> In a post on your blog, nominate 15 fellow bloggers for The Versatile Blogger Award.</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> In the same post, add the Versatile Blogger Award.</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> In the same post, thank the blogger who nominated you in a post with a link back to their blog.</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> In the same post, share 7 completely random pieces of information about yourself.</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> In the same post, include this set of rules.</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;"> Inform each nominated blogger of their nomination by posting a comment on each of their blogs.</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
</div>
<div style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">
<span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">7 random things about myself...hmm...</span></div>
<ul>
<li style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">I like sunflower seeds and peanuts</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">I like hiding in the kitchen, inside a cupboard, or under the bed, inside a drawer. And </span><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">I hate it when Nick and Ira find out where I am hiding </span></li>
<li style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">Humanspeak/English is my second language. I am not very good at it...</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">I love running on my wheel</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">I hate being alone, so I usually hang around in the room where the humans are. That's usually the pc-room, or the television-room</span></li>
<li style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;"><span style="background-color: white; line-height: 20px;">I'm like exploring</span></li>
<li><span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; line-height: 20px;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I am secretly in love with Bella</span></span></li>
</ul>
<br />
<span style="background-color: white; font-family: inherit; line-height: 20px;"><span style="font-family: Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif;">I am supposed to nominate 15 blogs.. Oh god. I rarely use the internets, because Nick is usually on the computer. When the computer is free (ie when Nick is at work) I barely have time to blog, let alone visit other blogs. I will try my best to nominate as many blogs as possible.</span></span><br />

Hello, Joshua the Hamster here!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I just wanted to let you know about Bella's condition. Although she is far from OK, she is getting constantly better.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Last time I blogged, her eye was closed and he abscess got a bit smaller. Well, since then her eye got a bit worse. She opened but it was bulging. It was scary. The vet told us (well, not me, Nick spoke with the vet), that it's normal. All the puss in the abscess has to find a way out, and that way was through her eye. OH MY GOD!!! GROSS!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now her eye is closed again, but it's not wet or swollen. I dunno, she might lose the eye after all, we just have to wait and see. I am not particularly concerned if she ends up with one eye. We hamsters don't really use our sight.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The abscess is getting smaller all the time, but now as fast as we would have hoped. Given this rate, it will take weeks for the abscess to vanish. Bella hasn't lost her appetite. In fact she eats more than ever and she is getting very very chubby. She doesn't exercise though. She must be very tired. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Oh, the antibiotics. Bella already consumed her first bottle of antibiotics. We will have to call the vet again and ask advice. Should we continue the treatment? We are concerned that this much antibiotics can't be good for her immune system. Nick did some internet research and found out that she has to eat some yoghurt. Something to do with digestion and antibiotics. Complicated stuff. At least Bella loves yoghurt. She makes a mess of herself when she eat it though. It's very funny.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well, as soon as Bella gets well, Nick has promised free cinema tickets for all of us!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">You bet I am up to no good!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Of course, all this time, I have been very naughty. I managed to make Nick angry by destroying a favorite household item of his and I have managed to find a new hiding spot. TROLOLOL!!! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But more about MY adventures (instead of Bella's medical condition, in my next blog post!)</div>

Hello, this is Joshua the Hamster blogging from Athens, Greece.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I would like to talk to you about Bella.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bella is my new friend. She came to our house 2 months ago, just a little bit before Christmas. When Nick got her from the pet store, they gave him a little box for the transfer that was made out of paper. Nick had to make a short visit to the local convenience store to get some presents for Christmas. Very short stop, no more than 5 mins. By the time he got back in the car, Bella had eaten her box and was exploring the passenger's sit.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He put her in my mother's old cage that was prepared in advance.The journey from the pet store to our house is stressing for new hamsters. And we also don't like changes. So she was let alone in her new days for a couple of days without distractions in order to get used to it. Bella was easily frightened and for little reason. Bella was very shy and she was scared easily. When she heard loud noises she would wake up and cry! She made a little voice, much like a human screaming 'waaaah', that made Nick feel bad for waking her up and scaring her. But her scream was funny too. Bella got used to human voices after a day or too!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bella was shy. That's why we don't have many pictures of her. She would also never stay still, which made taking pictures of her even more difficult. This is her only photo we got of her. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7Y7D_bbB3szWtQIhkoM3COi6d_XH7DKWywpIBuXxA8HdIK_hQ3DE__TRzncl71TnhfZYSZzQB21X66wz5mUUbLn2H0oY7rlXwMXyDmFdyZWXd9ObuRLa0qyuNj2EH9664rm9-dWZkZv8/s1600/IMG_1297.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi7Y7D_bbB3szWtQIhkoM3COi6d_XH7DKWywpIBuXxA8HdIK_hQ3DE__TRzncl71TnhfZYSZzQB21X66wz5mUUbLn2H0oY7rlXwMXyDmFdyZWXd9ObuRLa0qyuNj2EH9664rm9-dWZkZv8/s400/IMG_1297.JPG" width="300" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
She is not very pretty, but she has a heart of gold. She loved eating sunflower seeds and peanuts. Nick would leave a few in her cage at first, and later, when Bella became more bold, he would let her take them from his hand. She wasn't allowed to roam free in the house because she had the bad habit of biting and chewing the cables. So, she spent a lot of time in her blue hamsterball. The one pictured in the photo. I used to run behind her, and she would try to run over me, with her ball. Fun times.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What? Oh, no why would you think that? Of course she is not dead!!! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am using past tense because she is very sick right now. But she is getting better. You see, two weeks ago, she developed a mild eye infection. She wouldn't open her right eye. Nick didn't pay much attention to that. After all this is very common to hamsters. My mother used to do this all the time, and then after a while, usually the next day, her eye would be OK.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Alas, this was not the case with Bella, next day it was worse. Also, for some reason, she started making weird noises with her nose. Perhaps the infection, or the tears from her eye, caused her respiratory problems? That was Saturday, two weeks ago. Come Sunday, she begun breathing irregularly. Nick couldn't take her to a vet at Sunday. They had to wait until Monday.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
So, once he got back from work, he put her in her hamsterball and drove to the vet. It was an adventurous journey for many reasons. First, because he had no idea where the vet was. Second, Bella was scared and Nick had to drive slowly and avoid bumps. Which is impossible if you drive in greek roads. Once he reached the vet, it was almost closing time. But they made it in time.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bella, escaped from her ball, once they were inside the vets office and started running around her office. When they caught her, they put her on the surgical table (but they didn't perform any surgery) and the vet started examining her. Bella was scared, and -hehe, this is funny- she pooped the vet. That was when Nick noticed a HUUUGE cat on top of one of the vets shelves. He was the Vet's cat. He had this look, like he was the owner of the place, and everyone else was under his command. He just stood there, watching.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
The vet weighted Bella in order to judge how much antibiotics to prescribe. She told him to give her the antibiotics (once per day) and eye drops for the eye infection (thrice a day). The antibiotics would help cure the infection and breathing problems and prevent pneumonia. She also said that Bella had to visit her again next Friday. That was when the cat had had enough, and jumped from the shelve on to the vet's surgical place and started sniffing Bella. Bella almost fainted. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3pxsq597y3g-4kcGQR4h4kUZPb6yTI42UjNF89gPY97cSGKR7kGMy-_H2Sl377jHe5JM2s7sVCQO9cDmLAzWoPoo6kJyPFxgSorlQS4eXnTZll3bzvvgAAM2xGZtbXbis3TwcdcjLDyQ/s1600/IMG_1362.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj3pxsq597y3g-4kcGQR4h4kUZPb6yTI42UjNF89gPY97cSGKR7kGMy-_H2Sl377jHe5JM2s7sVCQO9cDmLAzWoPoo6kJyPFxgSorlQS4eXnTZll3bzvvgAAM2xGZtbXbis3TwcdcjLDyQ/s320/IMG_1362.JPG" width="239" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick started administering the antibiotics and the eye drops to Bella, but with great difficulty. Bella refused to take her medication. She even started screaming like she did the first day she got home. She hadn't screamed since then. Nick was giving a desperate fight in order to make her drink the antibiotics, but she would try to escape from his hand. However she didn't bite him. Even when she got really scared and started screaming. After 30 minutes of failed attempts to force feed her the antibiotics, Nick gave up. However he succeeded at a later time. Hoorah!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Her breathing problem vanished the next day, which was very good, because it was causing Bella to snore while sleeping. It may sound funny now, but if you were there, hearing her, it would make you worry too. However, her eye infection did not get any better. In fact it got worse. Her eye was now constantly closed and swollen. And then her nose started getting bigger too. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
On Friday, Nick visited the vet again. This time they didn't put Bella into her hamsterball, but took her cage with her. The cat was there too (along with 2 more cats), and all of them were curious about Bella. They even climbed on her cage. I am not sure if Bella noticed them. She was very tired with the infection and the administration of antibiotics, and her eye was closed shut. The vet examined Bella again. She said that her nose was big because of the abscess or something. She said she had never seen an abscess so big before. This worried Nick a lot, but the vet reassured him that it was nothing to worry about. She told him to increase the dosage of the antibiotics to twice a day, instead of just once.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Three days have passed since then. Bella's abscess now has gotten somehow a little smaller, but she still looks like a rhino! Her eye is still closed, and she sleeps a lot. However, it's encouraging the she still has her appetite and drinks water regularly.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I hope she gets better soon, because I miss chasing her in her hamster ball.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

I am a hamster. Nick is human and he isn't even aware of the blog!<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hello, Joshua the Hamster again.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My last post, cause some controversy which I would like to settle.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
My name is Joshua. I am a hamster. I write this blog using Nick's computer. Nick is a human. He doesn't understand hamsteralk. I do understand humantalk. Nick doesn't know that I use his computer, and I only blog when he is not paying attention. That is what my father, Monty, used to do, and I wish to continue his legacy!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Now that we have this cleared, there is another controversy that I want to settle.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am a MALE hamster. Ok? MALE!!! I am not Bella. I am yellow colored. So, on the previous post, stop saying 'Oh.. Bella is beautiful, she has nice nose'. It's me. ME! ME! That is my nose! I talked about Bella, but I haven't posted pictures of her yet. She is new here and we don't have enough pictures. She is sick right now. When she gets better I will use Nick's camera and then I will post those pictures here.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Lastly, I would like to thank Inky for featuring me in <a href="http://inkythehamstermommy.blogspot.com/2012/02/new-old-hamster-blog.html">her blog</a>. Her hamster, Rory, is beautiful! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bye for now, going to run on my wheel, </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Joshua</div>

Hello, Joshua here!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Wow, it's February already? I can't believe it was December last time I wrote on this blog. I blame Bella for not posting so often.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju3IfKlDXJoeNnQn7aNez03rCuNVr4SkO_6la183fx4dEfKr35_gtT9EBmpzzYd8h2lG6CNhyphenhyphenlnzB-ooPdeEyC91WbsJ64DB4he-VBpRcJHxqn3aDmQFVUI5ln6OOvu1z2TMDY94kXBn4/s1600/IMG_0030.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEju3IfKlDXJoeNnQn7aNez03rCuNVr4SkO_6la183fx4dEfKr35_gtT9EBmpzzYd8h2lG6CNhyphenhyphenlnzB-ooPdeEyC91WbsJ64DB4he-VBpRcJHxqn3aDmQFVUI5ln6OOvu1z2TMDY94kXBn4/s320/IMG_0030.JPG" width="240" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">This is ME. JOSHUA. People in the comments were confused and thought this was Bella. Bella is barely in any pictures. However, that thing below me, IS Bella's cage. Bella is a bit under the weather right now.<br />
<br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
What? You don't know Bella? Oh I forgot! I haven't introduced her to you. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You see, during Christmas, Nick and Ira decided to give me a present. And the present was Bella! Bella is a shorthaired female hamster. She has lots of colors. She has black patches, white patches, brown patches!!! Nick and Ira got her because they thought she was ugly and they felt bad that she was going to have to spent her Christmas in a pet shop. But humans don't understand hamster beauty like us, hamsters. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We are good friends, Bella and me! Bella is a quiet hamster. She likes to eat, and generally Ira says she acts just like my mother, Maza, did. Perhaps all female characters have the same temperament? Nick and Ira let her out of the cage a few times, but only briefly. Because when they let Maza out of the cage, she had the habit of biting the cables. Guess what. Now Nick and Ira have one less USB cable because of Bella, and Bella is not allowed free in the house, like I am. Oh well..</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
One of my favorite activities is spying on Bella. When she is asleep, I climb on her cage and start peering inside. Sometimes she seems me and this freaks her out. She goes crazy and starts running all over her cage. It's very funny! Nick and Ira say I am a little devil.</div>

<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am afraid I got some sad news. Nick told me that mommy is not ill anymore and that she has gone to the Rainbow Bridge.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwltSVtbDyqgNlXAscV6i464iq8G1YpQGKu7f0etBK4oLv2Wn3oPni-WXxNg6BkXmSpbNdu6Y9t_6bGh-pvC0MT7A-4khRxATSkMDwNvmTxYQ6XIHwXOyY9B-SBSygoAHOUdCJxj1ad9s/s1600/POEM_Gate.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="238" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwltSVtbDyqgNlXAscV6i464iq8G1YpQGKu7f0etBK4oLv2Wn3oPni-WXxNg6BkXmSpbNdu6Y9t_6bGh-pvC0MT7A-4khRxATSkMDwNvmTxYQ6XIHwXOyY9B-SBSygoAHOUdCJxj1ad9s/s320/POEM_Gate.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I got confused. This is where my father lives. So mommy will be together with Monty, my daddy! She will be happy because she was missing him so much. And there is a huuuuge hamster wheel there. So I asked them, why is it sad news? Nick hesitated a bit, and then said it's sad news because I will not see them for some time.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Which got me thinking... and I asked when will I see them when? This was hard for them to answer, so after a bit of thinking, they said that, according to statistics, I would meet them in 18 months. Or 2 years at best. Hmmm, strange.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick told me to write a few things about Maza, as a goodbye speech, so here it is.<br />
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Maza, my mother was a white haired syrian hamster that liked to eat a lot. She wasn't very active, and rarely used her hamster wheel, but loved playing in her hamsterball. She was quiet and liked making a huge nest from tissue paper. She also liked making a huge stockpile of food, seeds, corn, peanuts. But what she loved more (besides Monty) was her peanuts. She would crunch the peanut's shell for hours and that made her happy. Then she would store the peanuts and never eat them. She only bite them just for the taste. Nick rarely let her out of her cage unsupervised like they did with me (Joshua) and my father (Monty) because she would chew all the cables! She had twelve beautiful baby hamster with Monty, and one of those babies grew up to be ME! Maza was loved by everyone who met her.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway, I am not that sad about mommy. I am going to miss not seeing her but she will be happy there. I am just going to miss her. On the other hand, I just inherited a furnished 2-floor house with a hamster-wheel too. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br />

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Maza, the fat princess</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Bye mommy! Me, Nick and all your human friends will miss you lots!<br />
<br />
Your baby hamster, Joshua. </div>

I used to like reading books. Douglas Adams is my favorite. He is full of win and very funny. I also like fantasy novels!! Dwarves are funny. SOmetimes I pretend I am a vicious direwolf like those in Game of Thrones. I am not that big, but I am equally furry! Trololol.<br />
<br />
This is me checking my modest collection. Hmm, what to read next? Perhaps I will just play some Call of Duty: Modern Warfare just for the lolz!.<br />

He also watches the TV-show (Game of Thrones) and I can't help but watch it too sometimes. It is very violent and I will never allow little hamster Joshua to watch it. In the show and in the books, there is a noble family that lives in the North where the winter is very harsh. They have to prepare for the harsh Winter all the time!<br />
<br />
I have to prepare for the Winter too! I need to make a large stockpile of food, and also find warm bedding! Because as Ned Start says in every episode 'WINTER IS COMING'!<br />

Joshua spent most of the afternoon climbing any surface that could climb and exploring the area under the sofa.<br />
<br />
Later, when Nick cleaned his cage, they found a Mentos stashed in his hide-out. Somehow, that Mentos was under the sofa, hidden, who knows for how long. Joshua unearthed it and stored it.<br />
<br />
As for me, I spent most of the afternoon sleeping with the occasional break of running around in my favorite blue hamsterball.</div>

Sometimes, at night, I make a lot of noise. I bite the rails of my cage and I try to open the hatchdoor so I can get out. Usually, all it takes is some treats and then I become quiet again.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i.imgur.com/eg78v.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://i.imgur.com/eg78v.jpg" width="320" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Maza tries to jailbreak!</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Young Joshua was a quiet hamster, but lately he is always making mischief. He is getting very noisy at nights!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
He starts eating his peanuts at 01:00. Afterwards he runs in his wheel, making sure to run in such a way that creates the most noise possible. Then he goes up and down his tube, or start re-arranging his cage decoration or his food stockpile. But most often, he climbs on the rails and either bites them, or tries to break them with the force of his weight (which is futile, but funny).</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But that is not all. I wish it was.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This morning Nick opened the top of Joshua's cage and started leaving food inside. Joshua was in the other corner of the floor and was observing him (his hand actually). Then he started approaching his hand is a shy way. Nick was very happy because Joshua is usually scared of him. So he continued leaving food in his cage. Then Joshua got even closer to his hand, and using his cowardly tactic, BIT him!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Needless to say, Nick is mad. I heard him say that he will not let him out of his cage ever again, because he is a spoiled hamster. Poor Joshua. I am sure he mistook his hand for a treat and just tried to have a bite! It is common, because us, hamster, have poor eyesight and generally are more dependent on smell. And Nick's hand definitely smelled like food!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

Maza, the mother of a spoiled hamster.</div>

Today I learned that Totonika Nova passed away.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Totonika is a friend of mine that I never actually met. But I visited her <a href="http://totonika.com/">blog</a> often and we talked through her guest book. She always brought a smile to my face, especially when my friend Monty passed away a month ago. The news made me sad, but I am confronted by the thought that Totonika and Monty, are going to be together in Rainbow Bridge. Perhaps Monty will show her the <a href="http://hamsteropolis.blogspot.com/2011/08/so-long-and-thanks-for-all-sunflower.html">Rainbow Bridge Net Cafe</a> and she will be able to mail her 'mum'.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Goodbye Totonika Nova, you will be remembered.</td><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
You can leave a message in <a href="http://totonika.com/blog/totonika-nova%20">Totonika's farewell page</a>. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
In other, more happy news, my son Joshua was very naughty tonight. He was biting his cage and making noises because he wanted to be let out. Nick couldn't sleep and moved his cage in another room. Of course that didn't help much. Joshua continued to make noise all through the night. I suspect the more he is left free to roam the house, the more he gets used to it. Also, he stopped biting, at least for now. But he is still getting scared easily and dislikes being petted.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Joshua</td><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br /></td></tr>
</tbody></table>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
This is a picture of Joshua. He is free to run around the house and he is extremely happy. I also think this is the first picture of Joshua that I uploaded to the blog. He is camera shy.</div>

Hello, this is Maza and I got more good news. After returning for Loutraki, we found a home for Joshua's little brother.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
If you have been reading this blog you migh remember that I had 12 little hamsters. Nick tried to find a home for them. And they did for 10 of them, but 2 of them were unlucky and Nick decided to give them to a friendly local pet shop.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
When Monty went to the Rainbow Bridge, Nick checked on the pet store to see if those two little hamsters had found a home. They were sad to find out that after 4 months, they were still there. He got Joshua back (one of the two hamsters), but the other one was left there alone. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Well, finally Joshua's brother found a home! He spent one day with me and his brother and then he was given to Penelope where he will be loved. I am so relieved!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I have a couple of pictures of Joshua's little brother to share with you. Do not confuse him with Joshua, although he looks exactly like him. Joshua's brother was a lot more social than Joshua during that one day we spent with him.</div>

Hello, Maza here.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We just arrived to Loutraki. And I've been a bad bad bad hamster during the road trip :((((</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Let me start from the beginning. Nick decided to go to his summer house in Loutraki and stay there for 10 days. Since Monty, my boyfriend, went to the <a href="http://hamsteropolis.blogspot.com/2011/08/monty-where-did-you-go.html">Rainbow Bridge</a> recently, Nick wanted to take us (me and Monty's son, Joshua) with them to cheer us up. Also 10 days are a lot of time to leave us alone.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Joshua hasn't been with us for more than a week and is not as comfortable as me, around Nick. So, the plan was to put our two cages in the backseat of the car and have me and Joshua in our hamster-balls. And that's what we did. So far so good.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick was afraid that Joshua would get scared of being in his hamster ball all this time, so he started feeding him nuts and peanuts and lettuce so he would be occupied with something and not be grumpy. He felt bad about me, and started feeding me too.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It turned out that Joshua was not nervous at all, after finishing his meal he fell asleep in his hamster-ball. But it was me that started to get nervous. I had stored my food in my chick-pouches and I started to get impatient. I wanted to empty those pouches in my cage, but I was in my hamster-ball. Nick understood that I wanted to be in my cage, parked his car and he opened the hamster-ball and picked me up.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am so sorry... I don't know why. Perhaps I got scared. It was my first road-trip!!! Please understand me! I got so scared that I bit NICK!!! <b>Sorry!!!</b></div>
<br />
He got startled and dropped me on the floor, and I started running around. It took him a while but in the end he found me picked me up again, put me in my cage and everything was fine afterwards.<br />
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
That's all. The moral of the story is that even a hamster that is good mannered and behaves, like me, can get scared in a car and bite someone without really thinking about it!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Hi, it's Maza again. And guess who is sitting next to me... JOSHUA!!! Monty's son.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I am so happy. I got little Joshua by my side, teaching him how this blog works so he can update it by himself one day. Joshua looks so much like his father, it's almost like Monty is next to me too. Monty, if you read this on RainbowBridge Netcafe, let me tell you your son has inherited your house, but also all your bad habits! He is an explorer, will not stand still for a second, and also does not eat all his food. Just like you.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Joshua has long hair, but not as long as Monty's. His fur is is the same color as Monty's but even more softer to the touch. More like mine. And Joshua is a lot fatter than Monty. Like me!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick ισ leaving for Loutraki for vacations and decided to take us along. We are going to spent 10 days there. I don't really like travels and I am also worried about Joshua. I am not sure if he is going to behave himself on the journey. It's one hour long by car and he hasn't traveled before. Neither have I.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I promise I will take some pictures of Joshua once we arrive at Loutraki. But until then, I found some old pictures of Monty. These are from the time he was working on his blog. Haha, he liked looking at himself.</div>

Hello hamster-readers. This is Maza. I got an email from Monty some minutes ago! I am copy-pasting it below in its entirety. I am so excited by reading Monty's news. And I can't wait for Joshua!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>From: Monty (monty@rainbowbridge.com)</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>To: Maza the fat princess (maza@hamsteropolis.blogspot.com)</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>Cc: Nick@hamsteropolis.blogspot.com</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>Subject: So long and thanks for the the sunflower seeds</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>Dear Maza,</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>I am sorry for my unexpected departure but it was not something I had planned. The last couple of days I was feeling ill. You may have noticed that I wasn't drinking enough water, I was walking rather sluggishly, and I wasn't grooming myself as much as I used to. Nick definitely noticed it. He tried to make me feel better, but my condition was more serious than he thought.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>The last day I spent in my cage, next to you, was the worst. I was constipated and couldn't... *ahem*.. poop! Nick tried to make me drink water (with vitamins) from a syringe because I was dehydrated. He said that it would help my constipation problem as well. I was feeling so ill that I didn't want to drink water but he insisted. Later he tried to clean my 'bottom' and massage my belly with a warm towel.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>When I was clean and had drunk my water, I felt very tired. Nick put me back in my cage. I curled in a corner and fell asleep. And that's when the weird things started happening.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>I read in your previous post you wrote on MY blog (I am kidding, you are free to post anytime you wish), that the next morning I was lying there and I was not moving, and that Nick thought I had passed away! But that's not really what happened, is it? You did suspect something was amiss. Well, you were right.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>The next morning, contrary to popular belief, I woke up, alright. But not in my cage! I woke up in a big grassy field. It was so beautiful and sunny. I normally don't like the sun, but this time it was fine. A large blue river was running through the field and a huge rainbow bridge was crossing it. Between me and the bridge were many kinds of animals, too many to count. And they were also separated in groups of varying sizes. I felt a strange desire to join one such group. And what a weird group it was.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>For starters there were at least 2 dogs, 5 cats, 2 turtles, a duck, some canaries and one little parrot. Yes, you read that right, a parrot. When those animals saw me approaching, they greeted me. They were friendly, even the cats. I hate cats, you know that. The introduced themselves to me. Oh my god, you should listen to their names. Their names were so stupid and funny that I was barely able to keep a straight faced. The duck was called Pipinos (lol). The dogs were called Irma and Azor (I might be wrong on that last one). The cats were confusing. One of the was called Pinky (she was black though). The others were all called Loulis. There was Loulis the first, Loulis 2, Loulis 3 and 4. They were like some sort of a bad movie series. Loulis 1 colours' were white and brown. Loulis 2 and 3 where gray with streaks of white and black. Loulis 4 was totally black. I can't remember the parrot's name (he was creepy), nor the turtles's.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>I was a bit confused and Pippinos the duck explained everything to me.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>This, he said, was a place called Rainbow Bridge. And all those animals I saw were pets, waiting for their 'special friend' from back 'home'. Until their special friend arrives, the pets enjoy the scenery, run around, eat their favorite meals, socialize and play. But some times, a pet would stop playing and stand still, as if something just clicked and made sense. Then he would turn around and would see his special friend in the distance. That pet would run towards his special friend and they would be reunited again at last. And they would cross the Rainbow Bridge together. There is some confusion as to which special friend a pet will follow when it had more than one special friend, but lets not delve into plot-holes.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>It's very common for pets in Rainbow Bridge to socialize with other pets that had a common special friend. And all the pets in this group knew Nick. I was more special because I brought more recent news from Nick! By the way, OMG NICK, you weren't very talented in giving names to cats, were you? You named four cats Loulis?</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>Quite recently the management of Rainbow Bridge built an Internet Cafe. This is where I am writing this email from. Unfortunately this place is very busy. New pets arrive here all the time and everyone wants to sent an email back 'home'. As a newcomer, I have priority, but I doubt I will be able to sent another email anytime soon. I definitely will not be able to update the blog, so I leave that responsibility to you.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>Anyway, let's move on to more serious stuff. I never had time to make a proper testament. Fact is I was not expecting to be moving on so quickly. So, all of my edible possessions, including but not limited to my hoard of peanuts, sunflower seeds and the frozen broccoli which I didn't manage to devour, I leave to you, Maza the fat princess. Please don't eat those all in one sitting!</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>My manor and all the furniture, the tubes, the bedding, both my hamster-balls, my two water-bottles and my favorite hamster-wheel, the curtains and everything shall be inherited by ... my son JOSHUA!!!!</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>(surprised? don't be!)</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>So, yeah, I found out about him. Maza, do you remember when you gave birth to 12 little hammies? Nick certainly does. They tried to find homes for all our babies and they almost did. Except for Joshua. They couldn't find a home for him, so as a last resort they gave him to a pet shop owner. Joshua was so cute that they believed someone would adopt him soon. Unfortunately, I have been told by an undisclosed person (well, pet in fact), that poor Joshua is still in that pet shop, homeless and motherless. My last wish is for him to move back home so he can be with his mother and Nick. I have been told he is well mannered and handsome. In fact he looks just like me and you, Maza. He has my long-haired fur and color, and your facial features and .. erm... shape!</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>Ok, now I am rumbling, and... wait, what is that? A GIANT HAMSTER-WHEEL??? Oh the joy! I have to go and run on that wheel. I can't resist.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>I got to go Maza. I miss you all. Don't feel sad for me, it's wonderful here.</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />
</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b>So long and thanks for all the sunflower seeds,</b></i></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<i><b><br />

Hi, this is Maza and I am afraid I have some rather bad news to share.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I woke up this morning and Monty's cage was empty!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
During my sleep I heard Nick talking to someone about what happened to Monty. He was so sad. Monty was sick the last couple of days. Last night they tried to give him water through a syringe. The vet would return from his vacations today and Nick was going to visit him with Monty, but I guess they were late.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Nick said that Monty passed away this night, but I know better. Monty went to the Rainbow Bridge, waiting for us so we can all cross it together. But until then I feel so lonely....<br />
<br />
Goodbye Monty,<br />
Me, Nick and everyone that met you will never forget you. Visit us in a dream soon.<br />
<br />
Your fat princess,<br />
Maza</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj1M-4S9pTYgfnR97uR3NrAisaTufdaB6RJIQC4V9TP1d6QIhGcgBFrKu7eyY7qOOOTq5K4qv8c-3VIKq1iUMUDuHk9OTH6yD2B8O2TQfrQQRCk-l0S_TPYwzIY_znrlN6oLn9md7_I6E/s1600/rainbow.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhj1M-4S9pTYgfnR97uR3NrAisaTufdaB6RJIQC4V9TP1d6QIhGcgBFrKu7eyY7qOOOTq5K4qv8c-3VIKq1iUMUDuHk9OTH6yD2B8O2TQfrQQRCk-l0S_TPYwzIY_znrlN6oLn9md7_I6E/s1600/rainbow.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><span class="fw_sanitized"></span></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. </i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i>Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together.... </i></div>

Hi, I am Maza. I am Monty's girlfriend!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Monty can't update his blog right now because he has been sick the past couple of days.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Right after our little visitor left (I mean Iggy) Monty started not feeling very well. I don't know what's wrong with him but I am worried! Nick is at his office right now, but I heard him talking to a vet and arranging an appointment for Monty.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Monty looks very miserable. He is sluggish, which makes me very sad to look at him. He used to be so active before. His fur is not groomed as much as he used to. I remember him having a rich and bright fur, but now it's untidy. He sleeps all night. At least he still has his appetite but I think he isn't drinking as much water.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We are not even sure if he is actually sick. Could it be a heat stroke? It's true that it's hot right now, here in Greece, but Nick was leaving the A/C on all the time. Perhaps he caught a cold? Certainly it can't be from old age. Monty is not even 10 months old yet. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
We were afraid Monty might have been dehydrated. We gave him frozen broccoli and he ate some of it. He seemed to like it. Then Nick gave me frozen broccoli to me too. I loved it, it was like vegetable ice-cream! But let's not talk about me. Nick put Monty in his old cage, with fresh aspen shavings for bedding, because he wanted to be sure it was not the new Carefresh bedding in his cage that was making him sick. He even checked for wet tail symptoms, but her findings were not conclusive.</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway, Nick got worried, because Vets that specialize in Hamsters are quite rare in Greece, but I see that Nick found one and his office is not very far. Ah, right now he is calling him. I am eavesdropping right now... she (the vet) is on vacation but she sounds very helpful. She says that we needs to give him yogurt because it has antibiotics. I like yogurt. We also need to put some vitamin drops in his water bottle. And turn off the A/C. The vet was very helpful, she seemed like a nice person. If Monty is not better by Thursday, then they are going to pay the vet a visit.<br />
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
I pray to the saint of Hamsters for Monty to get well soon!</div>

Maza the hamster.</div>

Hello, this is Monty!</div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
It's very hot here in Athens! It's unbearable. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
Due to the heat, me and Maza sleep in the open. That is, inside our cage, but not inside our little houses. Nick saw that, and now he leaves the air-conditioning on 24/7! The first time he did that though, it was TOO COLD, and we went inside our houses and insulated ourselves with tissue paper like we did in the winter! </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">
But what is more important is that we got one of our boys, Iggy, with us!!! Nick's friends went for vacations, so they sent Indy here for us to take care for a month. He is very happy to see us, and so are we. Me and Maza gave Nick some hamster-euros and Nick ordered a Nintendo DS (hacked). We gave it to Indy as a present. I tried to find a rom version of Pokemon Fire-Red (Iggy's favorite game). I had some trouble configuring DS acekard to ran a GBA rom, but in the end I made it! This is a picture of installing the Pokemon GBA rom on a Nintendo DS (using EZ Flash 3-in-1).<br />

Indy liked his NDS. Too much in fact. Then, I noticed that he was sleeping a lot.. hmmm, teenagers these days...<br />

I was sneaky. I didn't want Indy discovering me. Nor Maza, she would say I was a silly-dad, an overprotective one. I didn't want Nick afinding out either, because he would take photos of me and laugh with their friends. Well, I failed the last one. Nick took pictures of me after all. I will post them here first! This way I will have the last laugh. Or the first? D-oh! You can see Maza on the right, observing me and making fun of me. Grrr. </div>
<div style="text-align: justify;">

<div style="text-align: justify;">
Anyway, I found disturbing evidence in Indy's cage. I found food. A lot of food. JUNK FOOD! Sleeping and eating this much junk food cannot be healthy. I sneaked into his cage and waiting until Nick left. I didn't like him taking pictures. This was top-secret stuff. I waited and waited, and when the coast was cleared I confiscated all the junk food. My plan was to move all this food into my cage and destroy it (by digesting it). I stuffed as much junk food as I could in my cheeks. I started making my stealthy escape and then BAM, Nick got into the room with his damned camera. BUSTED.Then I tried to leave his room and deposit all this unhealthy food in my cage. But I didn't want anyone to find out. Unfortunately Nick did! He even took some photos of me because he thought I was funny. Stupid Nick, I will have my revenge soon.<br />
